A coin dedicated to the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, which is signed by another architect of international renown - Eduardo Souto Moura - both awarded the prestigious Pritzker prize, marks the beginning of a series of collection coins completely dedicated to the great names of contemporary Portuguese architecture.
On the obverse, this coin shows the main elevation and the entrance gate of Igreja de Santa Maria, in Marco de Canavezes, and on the reverse the back elevation of the same building, designed by Álvaro Siza in 1990.
