Manuel II was the last King of Portugal and Algarves. He reigned from 1908 until his deposition in 1910 with the establishment of the Portuguese Republic.
D. Manuel II was the second son of King D. Carlos and his wife Princess Amélia de Orleães, having ascended the throne, at just 18 years old, after the murder of his father and his older brother D. Luís Filipe, Prince Real.
